NQMobile cannot connect to the NVR.
Enable the live service in the NVR management console and make sure the phone's IP is on the NVR's IP allow-list. The app works on the same LAN as the NVR or over VPN; connections through cellular NAT are not allowed.
How do I activate a license?
Note the Machine ID on the license screen of the management console and enter the key issued for it; online and offline activation are both supported. Channel count and VCA/LPR features follow the license, and activation is not possible in a virtual machine.
Can I view backups on another PC?
Yes. Install NQBackupViewer; with the backup folder and the password chosen at backup time you can play and export without an NVR or database.
Which operating systems are supported?
NQNVR runs on Ubuntu 24.04 LTS (x86-64), Windows 10/11 and RK3588 boards, and NQRecSvr runs on Ubuntu 24.04 LTS (x86) servers and is managed from a web browser. NQVMS, NQAutoBackup, NQBackupViewer and NQPlateExtractor run on Windows; NQNMS on Windows and Ubuntu; NQAgent on Windows and Linux; NQMobile on Android.
Can I keep my existing IP cameras?
Any camera that supports ONVIF or RTSP can be used, with H.264 and H.265 streams. In secure mode we recommend cameras that support HTTPS with Digest SHA-256.
Does AI analytics need a separate server or cloud?
No, NQVCA runs inside the NVR on the Intel CPU (OpenVINO), and for more channels you can add a Hailo-8 NPU card or use the RK3588 NPU. Video never leaves the device.
